Whitehouse, OH… The iTaalk Autism Foundation, Bittersweet Farms, the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and the Autism Provider Network of NW Ohio will be presenting the Appy Happy Workshop Series beginning September 8. The workshop series is made possible due to a grant from The Autism Provider Network of NW Ohio. The six-month educational series will be held at Bittersweet Farms, located at 12660 Archbold-Whitehouse Road, Whitehouse, Ohio 43571. The workshop series is ideal for educators, parents, caregivers, and any professionals who work with individuals who can benefit from assistive technology. Bittersweet’s Day Program Manager, Steve Mentrek, says, “Bittersweet is excited to host the Appy Happy Workshop Series this year with the iTaalk Autism Foundation, the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and the Autism Provider Network of NW Ohio. This is a great opportunity for families and educators to learn the best tricks and apps for using mobile devices with individuals with autism and special needs.” The series will be led by experts who provide hands-on labs and demonstrations of how to successfully apply assistive technology. The purpose of the series is to help individuals with autism and special needs to use mobile devices that will help aid in skill development.
