Jennifer Zalecki, president and CEO of Battery Wholesale, was recently appointed to Lt. Governor Mary Taylor’s Small Business Advisory Council. She also serves as a member of the Toledo Area Small Business Association (TASBA) Board. The Council offers the perspective of small businesses to the Lt. Governor on regulatory issues and provides guidance and direction to the Common Sense Initiative. Jennifer will serve as the region’s representative on the Council. The Common Sense Initiative, or CSI, was been designed to function as a partnership between the Administration, state agencies, the business community, and the public to develop a regulatory framework that balances the important need for regulation with the equally important need to promote economic development and job creation. Originally established under Executive Order, the CSI process was signed into law on March 4, 2011. This will ensure that the effort to review and understand the impact that regulations have on the business community continues regardless of who serves as Governor.
