Toledo Regional Architects, Engineers and Contractors is an A/C/E advocacy group focused on promoting its member businesses through collaboration and engaging events. TRACE members provide the full range of design and construction services to meet the needs of commercial, industrial, institutional and governmental clients through their architectural, construction and engineering expertise.
TRACE is honored to be supporting members of the 180th Fighter Wing Ohio Air National Guard by providing engineering, pre-construction and construction services to bring their 9/11 Memorial concept to fruition. Your donations to help cover the cost of materials are greatly appreciated.
Members of the 180th Fighter Wing envisioned a tribute to the souls lost in the tragedies of 9/11/01. The events of that day changed not only our country, but also the mission of the 180th:
Provide for America:
protection of the homeland,
effective combat power and defense support to civil authorities,
while developing Airmen, supporting their families and serving in our community.
Over the past three years, members of the 180th Fighter Wing have worked diligently in their quest to secure a beam from the World Trade Center, limestone from the Pentagon, and soil from the Pennsylvania field where Flight 93 ended. These precious reminders of those who perished in the terrorist attacks will be located within a “clock” that encircles a massive American flag. Glass ingots, one for each soul lost, will be incorporated into the display. Informational podiums will mark the time of each plane’s impact into our country.
This memorial also reminds the members of 180th Fighter Wing to never lose sight of their mission and to Never Forget.
